7: Annual Planning Meeting and Dinner – Larry Farrington
It’s that time of year again, time for our annual (and only) planning meeting! Come one, come all, or you may find yourself volunteered to lead a drive! This year we’ll be meeting at BUCA di Beppo, 935 East Fort Union Boulevard, Midvale on Friday, February 7th at 7:00 pm. Obviously not a pot-luck this year (our previous location was no longer available) but this spot should work nicely.
16: St. Patrick’s Day, McCool’s Irish Pub
The BMCU will meet again at McCool’s, 1400 Foothill Dr #166, in Salt Lake City, at 11am on Sunday, March 16th. We are presuming that once again, we will need to be there right when the doors open in order to claim a place inside; no reservations.
12: Once Around the Lake – Paul Jaroch
We plan to follow last years plan for the Around the Lake tour on April 12th. with perhaps starting a bit earlier as it takes more time to get up to Kaysville on surface streets. A detailed route will be nearer to April 12th. though basically 4th. & 4th. in SLC to Kaysville, Rainbow Gardens in Ogden, around Pineview up and over North Ogden Divide then to Washington, and Steiny’s at the BDO north of 2nd. and 600 w. of the water tower.
26: Stevens Henager College, Open House/Car Show
They will have a live radio remote, car show, computer build display, art show, free food from Burger King, along with their Whopper Hopper (Bounce House that looks like a Whopper), Resources for the community (Job opportunities, Wells Fargo, Comcast, National Guard and possibly IHC and Discover). 30 – July 4: Sunbeamer International Convention
Every four years, the Sunbeamer get together for an International convention. This time, it is being held in Colorado Springs, CO, from June 30 – July 4, 2014. The theme is: Fifty Years of the Tiger. Events include: Car Shows, Autocross, Rallies, and Driving Tours.
2: Eaglewood Festival of Speed

12: Trapper’s Loop – Paul Jaroch
Saturday morning we will meet at 9:30 am at the east end of the Hogle Zoo parking lot for a 10:00 departure. The route will be familiar to all, up East Canyon over to Morgan, stop at the Chevron to fuel then over Trapper’s Loop to Pineview, then down Ogden Canyon to the BDO and head for the water tower and just north on 6th to Steiny’s where John and Joey will be looking for us for lunch.
19: Big Block Party Customer Appreciation Day Celebration
We’ve been invited to attend the “Big Block Party Customer Appreciation Day Celebration” at Auto Crafters Auto Body & Paint at 955 North Marshall Way, Layton Utah.
